About Chuck

Chuck is a Western Screech Owl who has been at Project Wildlife since 2018 after suffering head trauma and a parasite infection. While the parasites were treated, his left eye was removed to prevent pain and infection. With poor vision in his right eye and compromised hearing, survival in the wild is unlikely. Likely injured by a car strike, Chuck now helps educate the public about driving safely at night and protecting nocturnal wildlife.
